I feel like this software is getting a bad rap. I too had a few snafus getting it up and running but that was because I had 2 nasty viruses on my computer. Once I started Vista in safe mode and did the online scan and got rid of the creepy crawlies that both McAfee and Norton missed I was in the green. The install and getting protected right away was fast and easy. The software is VERY effective, uses very little system resources and the menus and settings are clear and friendly. I am an online gamer and I also download A LOT of media through P2P and torrents (which is probably how I got the viruses in the first place), I am really glad I made the switch to BitDefender. Three months now, ZERO problems.
