BitDefender rendered my system unusable. Within days of installing I suffered over eight crashes/system-freezes, four of which happened while running scans. I had to uninstall the product to return my system to a usable state.
Unfortunately, I cannot get my money refunded - the company will only refund money for problems tech support can't solve. But really, they should be paying me to help debug their software, so I'm calling it a lesson learned. All of these virus products have "try before you buy" features. I suggest you do just that.
Based on my experience and the unresponsiveness of the vendor, I cannot recommend this product at all.
