In all honesty this is the worst anti-virus software package and customer service company I have ever tried and I should know because I work with computers all day, I am a techy.
For a long time I used Norton Antivirus to keep my computer clean and for a long time it worked just fine until one day some malware got onto my system which somehow managed to bypass my firewalls and anti-virus scans. After Norton could not locate and delete this malware I knew I needed a switch.
After much online research I decided on Bitdefender. Worst mistake ever!!! At first it appeared to find the malware and delete it which was great but a few days later trojans, worms and spyware started entering my system. Everytime I placed Bitdefender to scan it would always find 6 or more infected files that kept creeping back.
I contacted customer care phone service but they were impossible to reach. Their answering machine asked me to leave a phone message at 2 p.m. on a thursday? I tried contacting them through email and their response times were over 24hrs!!! Their main problem is after they respond to your email they delete your ticket so if their advice does not work and your computer is still infected, you have to file another complaint!! Which means waiting another 24 to 48 hrs.In short they have a very slow and inefficient customer service.
But it gets better! I had more viruses, trojans, worms and spyware in my computer then I have ever had...EVER!!!! The infection got so bad that I could not even start my computer in safe mode. I had to whip my computer losing tons of data and install a free version of AVG which cleaned my computer and I am happy to report I have been clean and my computer has been running fine for over a year now.
Thank you for nothing Bitdefender!!! -4 Stars!
